This topic describes how to use a TMetric app for tracking time on iOS devices: iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. TMetric mobile app for iOS has a simple user interface and provides basic time tracking features. Among them are creating a TMetric account, logging to the app, starting and stopping the timer, adding and editing a time entry, creating a project, adding a break, reporting, controlling your team's work, and much more.
With the mobile app for iOS, you can track your work time on the go. The tracked time is directly synced to the web app and vice versa. Swipe down to quickly refresh the screen content.
When you're done with installing the app on an iOS mobile device, you can proceed with login. If you do not have a TMetric account, head over to the registration form by tapping Create TMetric Account.
You can log in to your TMetric account both with a username and password and your Google account.
After successful login, you can start tracking time by tapping a green button on the main screen.
When you start the timer, the Add time entry screen opens where you can set the start and end time for a task, add the task description and tags, select a project the task belongs to and turn on the Billable option. Tap Save when you're done.
Once the time entry is saved, it appears on the timesheet. You can also add more time entries if needed by tapping the Plus button at the bottom of the screen.
If you want to stop the timer, just tap the red button at the bottom of the screen.
In TMetric, time entries cannot be longer than 12 hours. If it happens, the app will prompt either to discard the timer or fix it. If you select Discard Timer, the time entry that is longer than 12 hours will be deleted. Fix Timer allows you to manually set the end time of the time entry.
Edit time entry
You can edit either a single entry or multiple time entries at once. To edit a time entry, just tap its name on the timesheet and make the changes you need. To bulk edit time entries, tap the Bulk Edit icon at the bottom of the screen.
Bulk Edit is used not only to make changes to multiple time entries but also to conveniently delete a few time entries at once.
You can easily get access to your workspaces by tapping the Options menu in the top left corner and selecting the workspace that you want to switch to.
From the Options menu, you can also go directly to the timesheet, select Team View to monitor your team work, navigate to Reports, open the Settings and log out of the app.
Navigate between days
You can easily view time entries for a specific date by tapping Go to date in the overflow menu. In the handy calendar that opens, just tap the day you need.
To add a break, tap the overflow menu and select Add break.
Set the start and end time for a break and tap Save.
TMetric mobile app for iOS enables you to easily generate a report, which will contain summarized data of projects, time, billable time, and billable amount for a selected time range.
Note: Mobile time tracking can be disabled by a workspace admin. You can override this restriction for individual members if necessary.
