Tracking time and expenses in TMetric is a straightforward process designed to help you manage your work and projects efficiently.

Here are the steps to track both billable time and expenses in TMetric:

  • Step 1

    Sign up

    • If you haven't already, sign up for a TMetric account. If you have an account, log in to your TMetric workspace.
  • Step 2

    Create a project

    • Go to the Projects tab.
    • Click the New Project button.
    • Enter the project name, assign it to a client (if applicable).

    Set up billing

    • In the Billing section, you can choose a billing type for a project, set the project currency, define hourly rates, and specify a project rate if needed.
    • You can use work types (work type rate) to categorize your time if needed.

    Set cost rates

    • Go to the Members tab.
    • Click the member’s name you need.
    • Enter a required value in the Cost Rate field. By setting the cost rates for your team members, you will be able to track your expenses.
