How to Track Time and Expenses in TMetric

Step 1
Sign Up
If you haven't already, sign up for a TMetric account. If you have an account, log in to your TMetric workspace.

Step 2
Create a project
- Go to the Projects tab.
- Click the New Project button.
- Enter the project name, assign it to a client (if applicable).

Set up billing
- In the Billing section, you can choose a billing type for a project, set the project currency, define hourly rates, and specify a project rate if needed.
- You can use work types (work type rate) to categorize your time if needed.

Set cost rates
- Go to the Members tab.
- Click the member’s name you need.
- Enter a required value in the Cost Rate field. By setting the cost rates for your team members, you will be able to track your expenses.

Track work time
- Go to the Time page.
- Click the Start timer button.
- Enter the name of the task in the Description field and select the project for the task.

View a time report
In the Project Summary report, you can clearly see your billable amount (income) and costs (expenses).
