Timesheets Settings
Here, you will learn how to customize timesheet settings to meet your company's needs. Only a workspace owner or admin can configure these settings for their specific workspace.
To configure timesheet settings for a workspace, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Workspace, then click Settings.
- In the right-side menu, select Timesheets.
- Adjust the settings as needed:
- Approval period - select a period of time for which timesheets are submitted for approval (by default, Weekly).
- First day of the timesheet - select the first day for the timesheet to be generated (by default, Monday). This option defines how My Timesheets, Team Timesheets, and exported timesheets are displayed.
- Reminders - options to configure automatic email reminders for employees to submit their timesheets by a specified deadline.
- Set automatic email reminder - enable this option if you want your team members to receive email notifications to submit their timesheets.
- Remind everyone to submit their timesheets - select On the first calendar day of the new period if you want a notification to be sent on the first calendar day of the new period; select On the last working day of the period if you need a notification to be sent on the last working day. Also, set the time after which a notification should arrive.
Let's look at an example of configuring timesheet settings.
For example, you need your employees to submit their timesheets each week, and you want them to be notified about this at the end of the working week. The first working day, for example, is Monday. Saturday and Sunday are days off. This is set and defined by the Work Schedule option.
So, go to the Timesheets Settings, and in the Approval period drop-down list, select Weekly. Check the Set automatic email reminder option, and in the Remind everyone to submit their timesheets drop-down list, select On the last working day of the period. A reminder will come every Friday. Also, select the time after which you want the reminder to be sent to your employees.
